The McNairy County Democratic Party consists of members of the Executive Committee, alternates of the Executive Committee, Democratic Officials, the Democratic Women, and many other Democrats. Our mission is to support Democrats who run for office at the local, state, and national level. The party has a permanent headquarters building in Selmer that is owned by the local party. The local Democratic Party is involved in various community service projects and supporting the citizens in McNairy County. The local party meets the last Friday of every month with a dinner sponsored by different districts on a rotating basis. Everyone is welcome to attend! The party officers are Jeff Lipford, Chairman, Pat Lewis, Vice Chair, and Leanne Jones, Secretary-Treasurer. The district chairs are Albert Brown-1st, Stephen Browder-2nd, Paul Simpson-3rd, John Lacefield-4th, Wayne Elam-5th, Ray Prather-6th District, and Jay Poindexter-7th.
