There has been significant opposition by those affected by the closings. The Election Commission has indicated they may hold a public hearing to reconsider the matter. In local Redistricting News, only four districts will have minor changes in the new districts as a result of recent census data. Approximately 100 people will be moved from District 2 to District 7. There will also be a shifting of approximately 100 people from District 4 to District 1. These changes will come up for approval at the October meeting of the County Commission.
